I've trained with Brett for 3 (4? krav years all blur together...) years and am continually impressed with the thought that he puts into designing workouts. In all of the classes I've taken with him, which is a LOT, he's never repeated the same workout. He continually creates new, challenging workouts, not to mention, he is just an absolute joy to be around. One of my favorite things about training with Brett is that he is incredibly encouraging, while not letting me, or anyone he works with, settle for less than their best effort. He creates such a fun and safe environment to train in, and does an excellent job explaining exercises and modifying them as necessary. He genuinely cares about helping his clients meet their goals and I'm better and healthier from training with him!

"Training with Brett is by no means your typical workout experience. I have been to many gyms where you go in, meet with a trainer, do the first session and usually walk out feeling weird, uncomfortable and most likely you don't go back. Not with Brett. He has a way of making you feel instantly at ease. It’s like working out with your 6 foot, tattooed, super buff best friend. He emphasizes that it is okay to laugh and shake things off all the while never letting you ease up or stop pushing yourself toward your physical goals. He approaches each and every client as an individual and comes at programming each workout in a cerebral and structured way. And he does it with jokes and smiles to keep you going.

Brett is incredibly conscientious and thorough. He did a full evaluation to see what areas I needed to strengthen, and he actually listened to me when I described the injuries I was recovering from. He created a plan just for me. During our sessions, he'd watch every movement carefully and tell me where to adjust. I've never had a trainer who paid such close attention to what I needed and how I was performing.
He is also the doofiest of all doofuses. King Doofus. Nay! Emperor Doofus!

Brett is the best personal trainer I've ever worked with. He's smart, educated, and he likes to make the experience fun. He's endlessly patient too. Never once, in all my dumb questions, did he ever make me feel dumb. Never once, in all my physical limitations, did he make me feel like I was somehow less than. My path working with Brett individually, started in late Aug/early Sept for two specific reason: 1) get stronger for the mats and 2) a Halloween costume. Brett listened to my personal goals, talked about reasonable expectations with the time limits each week I had available, and devised a plan for me to achieve my goals. Since my time is restricted, my gains have been slow BUT steady. Each small achievement I have had, Brett has been just as goofy excited as I have been. Brett is genuine, honest, focused, and diligent in his work with me as a personal trainer. And when I have had the pleasure to work with him on the mats in Krav, it has been just a rewarding.
